“Work will commence on the inside lane of northbound Quivira Road at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, starting at 119th Street and working north to College Boulevard.

When the construction reaches the JCCC south Quivira Road entrance, at approximately noon or 1 p.m., the median will be closed for about an hour and drivers will not be able to make a left turn to enter or leave the campus. However, drivers will be able to make a right turn into or out of campus during that time.

Similar closures are expected to take place periodically throughout the week.

JCCC students, employees and visitors are encouraged to use the College Boulevard entrances to enter and leave campus during this time.

To alleviate congestion, drivers who ordinarily would have made a left hand turn to exit campus from the Quivira Road exit are asked to exit the campus based on where they parked. This campus map shows the exits which should be used.
  • Drivers who park on the east side of campus, including those who use the east exit of the Parking Garage at Galileo’s Garden, are urged to use the east College Boulevard exit at Oakmont.
  • Drivers who park on the west side of campus, including those who use the south exit of the Parking Garage at Galileo’s Garden, are urged to use the west College Boulevard exit at Westgate.
Drivers coming to campus from the south are encouraged to use the following route: take 119th Street to Pflumm Road; turn right and take Pflumm Road north to College Boulevard; turn right and take College Boulevard east to one of the JCCC College Boulevard entrances.”
