Readers know that I am semi-predictable, generally follow a pattern, and profiled no pony in September, so to disambiguate the title of this post,
we must ask, “Where was Ms Okiku?”

Okiku is the ghost of a young filly who died long ago in Canter-lot. This doesn’t seem to bother her, though. She enjoys floating around and having fun in the world of the living. Aging family support group announces fall speaker lineup

“Join fellow employees with aging family members who are facing difficult situations and decisions at the aging family support group meetings held twice each month. Employees talk and walk away with resources and information.

Sessions are held from 2 to 3 p.m. on the dates and at the locations listed below. No registration is required.

Speakers and topics are:
  • How to advocate for your loved on in a variety of settings, Connie Fahney, registered nurse and certified case manager, Tuesday, Sept 11, RC 175
  • When the shoe is on the other foot: Changing roles with elderly family, Penny Shaffer, program director, JCCC health and human services, Wednesday, Sept 12, RC 175

My mother was transferred to MidAmerica Rehabilitation Hospital, so she can get stronger and come home.
