Cavalier Film Festival; student work highlighted

“Hollywood director, producer and editor Jonathan Dillon is the featured speaker at the Cavalier Film Festival, set for 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in room 233 of the General Education Building at Johnson County Community College.

Dillon is scheduled to speak at 3 p.m., followed by a panel discussion at 4 p.m. with four Hollywood and independent movie directors, writers, editors and producers. Panelists are Stephane Suetos Scupham, Patrick Rea, Dallas Henry and Rob Cecil.

At 7 p.m., films created by students from JCCC and area high schools will be screened, with the opportunity to vote for the audience favorite.

The event is free and open to the public, and is sponsored by the JCCC division of student life and leadership development and the journalism and media communications department.
