What do you know 001

Congratulations, Nifer Honeycutt! Never stop to rage your dream!

“ ♫ You have a power to shine
Shining like the clear sky ♫ ”

John asked me to stop narrating to the new potential student for Level One, like your girlfriend.
FORMER JCCC SOCCER ALL AMERICAN GOES PRO

“The Johnson County Community College men’s soccer program has another former player who has made his way to the professional ranks. Lucas Rodriguez, a member of the Cavaliers’ 2004 and 2005 teams, was signed earlier this summer by the NSC Minnesota Stars in the USSL Division II Pro League. Rodriguez is the 11th former player to play professional soccer, and the first under head coach Fatai Ayoade.

A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina and graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School, Rodriguez earned both NJCAA and NSCA All-America honors his sophomore at JCCC, becoming just the second player to earn both honors. He also earned NJCAA All-Region VI first-team, NSCAA All-Region first-team and Kansas Jayhawk Conference first-team honors in 2005. Rodriquez finished second on the team in goals with 12, assists with six and points with 30 in 2005. He led the team with five game winning goals, including the game winner over Barton County in the Region VI title game. The Cavaliers finished the 2005 campaign with a 17-7 record and runner-up finish in the District Playoffs.

Rodriguez completed his collegiate eligibility at MidAmerica Nazarene University. In his senior year, Rodriguez helped his team win the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship and finish the season ranked No. 16. He was named the HAAC’s Most Valuable Player, HAAC first-team and garnered NAIA third-team All-America honors.”
In effect, Nifer has turned pro as well, but only after years of personal hell and years of hard work to hone her prodigious wit and to prove her immense talent. I verified, after searching and reviewing the messages in my Google Mail, that Nifer auditioned for The Second City Training Center - Chicago on Friday, June 4, and was accepted by The Second City in Chicago on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
I said WHEN rather than IF.
Just as the combined casts of Omega Directive and One traveled via the MegaBus to Chicago for the Chicago Improv Festival, Nifer likewise made the journey each week for her class. Denton observed on Thursday:
“If you start at Second City, then you move to Chicago.”
This week, Nifer did move to Chicago, and I was informed Thursday morning. Although I may have accepted this premise, if only at a near-unconscious level, yesterday I found difficulty coming to terms with the inevitability, and the suddenness hurt, a lot. Christopher Hurt has had enough true-life allegories for one day, thank you.
Christopher Hurt did not realize how much Christopher Hurt is beginning to sound like Bob Dole, at least on NetworkedBlogs. The perceptions of Christopher Hurt were correct: Christopher Hurt ‘moat’ have said too much on one of the status updates of Nifer.
Christopher Hurt ‘moat’ have been mulling over a ‘moat’ point, and ‘moat’ have forgotten what was ‘moat’ in the first place. Julie ‘moat’ have been able to stop this at some time in the past.
Christopher Hurt is enjoying the spill-over benefit of the day: doughnuts.
Twitter / Guy Kawasaki: Ambidextrous artist ...
“Ambidextrous artist impresses onlookers [video] http://u.nu/7syte
Christopher Hurt remains unimpressed, “Yeah, but he can only erase with his right hand!”
¡Hasta que todos seamos uno!
No one has earned or deserves a new age of peace and happiness more than Nifer, for which were most of my tears.

  1. It's like there is a void at the Imp without Nifer there...a void I can't get over...and all the changes aren't making it any easier.
