“Several parking lots will have limited access or limited parking this week. Planned closures are:
- The entrance and exit to the Carlsen Center upper west parking lot from the Carlsen Center north circle will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30. The lot will be accessible through the entrance and exit on the south side of the lot.
- Both of the entrances and exits to the parking lot immediately south of the ITC will be blocked from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30.
- The entire lower west Carlsen Center garage will be closed from noon to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30.
- A total of 12 spaces in the lower Regnier Center garage will be blocked from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30.
- A total of 12 spaces in the lower Regnier Center garage will be blocked from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 31.
- The entire south half of the lower Regnier Center garage will be blocked on Thursday, Nov. 1.
- A total of 20 spaces in the lower Regnier Center garage will be blocked from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.”

“Last year, the JCCC women’s cross country and track program captured its first Region VI triple crown, winning titles in cross country, indoor and outdoor track. This year, the cross country team cleared the first hurdle in a quest for a second triple crown by winning the Region VI Cross Country Championships, hosted by JCCC. The Lady Cavaliers edged Allen Community College by three points to claim first place. The JCCC men finished fourth overall.
Three Lady Cavaliers finished among the top 15 finishers which earned them All-Region VI honors. Jessica Thomas led the way placing sixth with a time of 19:38.1. Also in the top 15 were Emily DeLong at 10th place (19:51.8) and Michala Ruder at 14th (19:57.3). The JCCC men had just one runner earn All-Region VI. Kidus Bekele crossed the finish line in 15th place with a time of 26:18.4.
Both teams will compete at the NJCAA Cross Country Championships Nov. 10 in Ina, Ill., followed by the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships a week later in Levelland, Texas.”
