StemTech conference draws volunteers, could impact service

“JCCC is hosting the League for Innovation’s StemTech Conference which begins Sunday, Oct. 28, and ends at noon Wednesday, Oct. 31.Scores of faculty and staff have volunteered to work at the conference, and the college is truly grateful for their efforts.Because of the number of volunteers, some services on campus may be affected. This will be especially true in Information Services. Please be patient if you experience service delays, and know that the JCCC employees volunteering for StemTech are advancing the good reputation of the college.”
The Kansas City Chiefs return this Sunday.

“The JCCC women’s basketball program will open the campaign ranked seventh in the NJCAA D-II Preseason Poll. This is third straight year JCCC has opened the season ranked in the top 10, and the 13th straight year to be ranked in the preseason top 20.Last year, the women’s basketball team finished 32-3, was ranked No. 1 for 15 consecutive weeks and won the East Jayhawk Conference title with a perfect 18-0 mark.Under the direction of Ben Conrad, the Lady Cavaliers have completed three straight 30-plus win seasons, accomplished by just one other coach in Kansas Jayhawk Conference history. The Lady Cavaliers have also won 13 consecutive Region VI titles and have nine NJCAA Tournament appearances, including each of the previous three seasons.”
