Keeping up the habit

I am averaging a new blog post every five days, yet I can only say that because I have two blog posts that were two days apart. Enough math. Anyway I figured in order to continue to keep up the habit of blogging, this blogging should be done at regular intervals. Last week I pondered updating on either Saturday or Sunday, but I was ultimately too tired to do much outside of my improv workshops at the Roving Imp Theater or with Project Improv.

The most difficult part in maintaining a blog, for me anyway, is finding about what to write. A cruel thing to say, I have believed that I am just not all that interesting. The longevity of any live discussion with me is usually limited as well, whether I am just shy, or more likely have reached the end of my knowledge on a subject, or have reached the end of the knowledge on subject which I am able to recall at that moment.

For many years I have striven to live as an uncomplicated life as possible. My feeling as a result is that I may actually be quite dull, like your girlfriend.

During a normal day, I might be awake for fifteen or sixteen hours; today, that was how long I slept. Whether or not a good trend has begun, can be argued. Fortunately, my manager allowed additional hours on other days this week, so I will not need to use any of my personal annual leave for Independence Day. While I have planned a monolithic post of the political for the near future, I will just say that this woman is really out of touch with reality:

Last week at my place of work, checking and cleaning classrooms had to take precedence over my blog. Before yesterday, I did not have enough motivation to write more than a few lines per day. The dates shown on recent posts are actually the dates on which they were first composed and not necessarily published. A principle which I set forth in the first post with this title, I like to feel as though I have not let the blog lapse for more than five days.

These five-hour naps in the afternoon have been better than my sleep at night. Because I could not sleep anymore and needed more time to clean off my car, I awoke at 4:46 a.m.; any post about stale zaniness should be monolithic.
