Book-talk group to discuss Larson book Friday

“The book-talk group will meet at 2:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in GEB 264 to discuss Erik Larson’s book, The Garden of the Beasts: Love, Terror and an American Family in Hitler’s Berlin. Larson taps into his stellar research and writing skills to compose a compelling look at Germany in the mid-1930s. Marilyn Gairns will facilitate. Book-talk is open to anyone who wants to join the discussion or just listen.

The books for the rest of the semester are:
• Feb. 22: The Fat Years by Koonchung Chan
• March 29: Beyond the Beautiful Forevers by Katherine Boo
• April 26: Tear This Heart Out by Angeles Mastretta”
