“From the Kansas Department of Transportation: Several lane, ramp and roadway closures are scheduled for I-435 and Quivira Road on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20 and 21, to set girders.
Advance message boards will alert traffic to the lane and ramp closures and to the marked detours. Marked detours will be provided. Drivers should expect major delays and will need to use alternate routes during the lane and ramp closures. Updated daily traffic information for this project can be viewed online at Kansas City Metro Area Daily Lane Closures.”
- Lane closure: The right lane of westbound I-435 at Quivira Road will be closed between 8 and 10 a.m. Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20 and 21. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Friday, Sept. 21.
- Overnight full roadway closure: All lanes of westbound I-435 at US-69 will be closed for setting of girders from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. both Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20 and 21. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, Sept. 22.
- Overnight ramp closure: The northbound US-69 to westbound I-435 ramp will be closed for setting of girders from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. both Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20 and 21. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, Sept. 22.
- Overnight ramp closure: The Antioch Road to westbound I-435 ramp will be closed for setting of girders overnight from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. both Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20 and 21. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Saturday, Sept. 22.
An observation may be made: Bender would know how to set girders.
Why Futurama hasn’t jumped the shark
“In truth, all any show requires to ‘jump the shark’ is two seasons. Futurama is in its second season — and on its second network. Some critics are claiming the show has jumped the shark, but here’s why this animated series is actually rallying. The phrase ‘jumping the shark’ got its origin...”

“I'm going to say it straight up -- again: I think Mitt will win handily. But that doesn't mean I am not nervous. Stakes too high.”
California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) will tell you, “Procrastination is a complex psychological behavior that affects everyone to some degree or another,” which is one preferred excuse. Yesterday was Int’l Talk Like A Pirate Day, for which the president has time to observe, and to the previous day appear on Letterman, but no time to meet with Netanyahu.

“President Obama had time to enjoy late night laughs with David Letterman while refusing to meet with America’s Middle East ally, and yet CNN’s Wolf Blitzer was just fine with that. It pays for a President to have friends in the media, ‘In the scheme of things, who is going to get you more votes?’”
I would also like to fulminate and say, “Liberals are Hypocrites.”
