Number three hundred

With this rant, Christopher dug a grave.
This morning I went back through my older posts and deleted a status update from Christmas Eve, 2010:
Ben Bernanke and George Soros,
this bowel movement is for you, Merry Christmas!
Because I have not formed my own opinion about either man, I might not have been fair, so I deleted this preceding status. My family, and those friends who also subscribe to my political beliefs, often listen to Fox News and Glenn Beck, who basically say that these are bad men.
Behind Blue Eyes
For more than a fair amount of time, I had lately been feeling frightened and depressed about imminent economic depression and hyperinflation, which will lead to the final social collapse of the United States of America. Lately, Glenn Beck and Mark Levin had been frequently presenting this idea.
“It is the fate of every truth to be an object of ridicule
when it is first acclaimed. [Albert Schweitzer]”
I know that Denton is ready.
American Preppers Network and Survival - Natural Disasters and Preppers - Popular Mechanics
“Can disaster preparedness become a lifestyle without turning into survivalism?”
For the record, I have no faith in this absentee president.
Barack Obama in Kenya supporting Raila Odinga and Violence.
Yeah, Barack Obama was using your tax dollars to campaign for a regime in Africa!
Obama Speech on Libya Taken From Bush Afghanistan.
Until recent events unfolded, I had began to write this post two months ago and only about the subject of hyperinflation. With “American Policy in Ruins”, Chaotic Reflections Of A Reformed Optimist also correctly observes, “The Right of Self Determination- Unless you are Libya…”
The Job Can Wait: Obama Has Better Things To Do
“As Democrats fail to agree to a plan to fund the federal government for the remainder of the fiscal year and world crises escalate in Japan, Libya and Bahrain, President Obama has faced heightening criticism for his ‘do nothing’ approach to the job he was elected to do ...”
ABCs Sawyer Makes Time to Tout: ‘You Heard It Here First, the President Is Going with Kansas!’
“Diane Sawyer allocated all but 1:37 of World News to Japan on Wednesday night, committing 33 seconds of that limited time to touting President Obama’s NCAA basketball picks provided to ABC corporate cousin ESPN.”
Until the rebels began to lose in Libya, no call for intervention was made!
The ‘No Fly Zone’ Won’t Fly | by Ron Paul
“Last week we once again heard numerous voices calling for intervention in Libya. Most say the US should establish a ‘no-fly’ zone over Libya, pretending that it is a benign, virtually cost-free action...”
The ‘numerous voices’ were heard.
U.N. Approves Military Action in Libya to Halt Qaddafi Attacks
“The Security Council approved a measure on Thursday authorizing ‘all necessary measures’ to protect Libyan civilians from harm at the hands of forces loyal to Colonel Muammar el-Qaddafi.”
An aware reader might notice that many of these articles are nearly one week old.
What a difference a day makes
“TWO days of heavy air strikes by a Western-led coalition have abruptly flipped the momentum of Libya’s civil war, particularly in the east of the country.”
Well, I was busy with a special project at my place of work.
House Votes to defund National Public Radio
“Republicans say country can no longer afford to subsidize NPR, which they call liberally biased; Democrats unified in opposition ...”
The New American Magazine is becoming more and more to my liking.
Rep. Justin Amash Calls Libya Action Unconstitutional
“Freshman Congressman Justin Amash (R-Mich.) claims President Obama is violating the U.S. Constitution by committing U.S. armed forces to enforce a no-fly-zone over Libya without approval from Congress, and he’s got a strong witness in his corner: Senator Barack Obama. by Thomas R. Eddlem.”
I further agree with Ron Paul:
Ron Paul: Libya strikes unconstitutional – only Congress can declare war Alex Jones’ Infowars
“Mr. Speaker: I rise to introduce a resolution expressing the sense of the Congress that the President is required to obtain in advance specific statutory authorization for the use of United States Armed Forces in response to civil unrest in Libya. As many in the administration, Congress, and elsewhere...”
Why should we care about the thoughts of these... Republicans? Obama’s closest allies surely support him.
Liberal Democrats in uproar over Libya action
“A hard-core group of liberal House Democrats is questioning the constitutionality of U.S. missile strikes against Libya, with one lawmaker [Dennis Kucinich] raising the prospect of impeachment during a Democratic Caucus conference call on Saturday.”
Really, one of Obama’s most ardent endorsers has turned?
Democrat Calls Obama’s Actions in Libya ‘Impeachable’
“Democratic Representative Dennis Kucinich said Monday that President Obama’s approval of air strikes against Libya is an ‘impeachable offense.’ By Raven Clabough”
On war in Iraq and Afghanistan, my friends in the Libertarian Party rightly consider liberal Democrats to be hypocrites:
Where Did The Antiwar Movement Go?
“The antiwar movement has been strangely silent despite the fact that U.S. foreign policy hasn’t really changed that much since Barack Obama became President.”
The award-winning Obama certainly has the support of the international community.
Russia’s Zhirinovsky calls to revoke Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize
“Russia’s head of the Liberal Democratic Party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, has appealed to the Nobel Prize Committee to revoke U.S. President Barack Obama’s Nobel Prize, the party’s press service said in a statement on Monday.”
The neighbors must support Obama, right?
Arab League condemns broad bombing campaign in Libya
“Group says endorsement of no-fly zone was intended to prevent civilian casualties.”
Democratic rule is taking hold!
EXCLUSIVE: Libyans Use Journalists as Human Shields
“An attack on the compound of Libyan leader Muammar al-Qaddafi on Sunday had to be curtailed because of journalists nearby, Fox News has learned exclusively.”
People are now more free to speak.
Criticism of Gaddafi grows bolder in Libyan capital
“TRIPOLI (Reuters) - After days of Western air strikes, some people in the Libyan capital felt bold enough to drop their customary praise of leader Muammar Gaddafi for a few moments and say instead they want him gone.”
Of course in the U.S., only members of MoveOn.org could say that they want a president gone. If one says anything against Obama, well, then that person is a racist!
American Policy Center : The Threat to Freedom: The Southern Poverty Law Center and the Department of Homeland Security
“The specific purpose of the Department of Homeland Security is to protect the ‘STATE’ against all enemies. That has come to include anyone who uses their first amendment right to speak out against specific policies.”
I have already expressed my opinion:
ObamaCare Celebrates its First Birthday: A Fitting Tribute
“ObamaCare celebrates its one-year anniversary on Wednesday, March 23 — and an appropriate way to commemorate the big day is to list of 12 of the law’s most economically destructive provisions. By Joe Wolverton, II”
Obama has also other ways to destroy our economy:
LSU Economist: Obama Drilling Moratorium Cost Billions
“Joseph Mason, a professor at Louisiana State University said in his testimony last week before the House Subcommittee on Energy and Power that President Obama’s moratorium on drilling for oil in the Gulf Of Mexico cost the nation billions of dollars and tens of thousands of jobs.”
The worst is the hyperinflation yet to come:

Money Supply: The Myth of Hyperinflation - Seeking Alpha
“Conventional wisdom is that the Fed’s printing presses are running overtime and the economy is awash with liquidity. Earlier this week the National Association for Business Economics reported that almost half the economists they surveyed believed that Federal Reserve Policy is inflationary.”
Fortunately, the Federal Reserve is not above the law.
Supreme Court: Fed Must Disclose Bailout Details
“After the Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of lower-court rulings, the Federal Reserve (Fed) must release information within five days about its ‘emergency’ bailouts of large banks and financial institutions undertaken in 2008 under the guise of saving the financial system. By Alex Newman”
The actions of the Federal Reserve might have a role.
Why Fears That Quantitative Easing Will Lead To Hyperinflation Are Totally Unfounded
“Buying up government debt or going into negative interest rate territory just isn’t that radical under a fiat system of currency.”
Different causes exist for the crises in Europe.
The Road to Economic Crisis Is Paved With Euros
“Is there any way to save Europe’s democracies from sinking together in the ill-conceived currency union?”
Jenifer Harmon, as usual, is correct:
“...People ... are conditioned
to hate everything Obama does,
and jerk off over Sarah Palin.”
I also know that my left hand, like your girlfriend, is sore.
Christopher dug a grave.

A Presentation at JCCC about Eating Disorders

Next week, JCCC has a presentation about eating disorders:

“Is It ‘Healthy’ or Is It an Eating Disorder?
11 a.m.-noon, March 30, 2011, 211 Carlsen Center

Eating disorders are an enigma. To an outsider looking in, it appears that a person could control what she eats and how much she exercises and specifically create the body society idealizes. This is a myth that our culture perpetuates. The lecture examines how to identify those struggling with an eating disorder by looking at the pulse of their inner world and provides an overview of those at risk, the recovery path and prevention strategies.

Presenters Michelle Micsko, clinical psychologist, and Kathi Bjerg, dietician, from Insight Counseling, will look at the continuum of normal to abnormal eating during a one-hour presentation for students that’s also open to the community.”

Postscript to Experiment 010

Part of the solution to the question in my last post, 1011012 in binary is 4510 in decimal notation. Also, David solved (2^11-5^2), which is 211 - 52, and becomes 2048 - 25, which equals 2023, when I become 45. My previously shared mileage (100,000) is also my current age (32) in binary (1000002). I chose 2048 CE because my 2003 Chevy Cavalier will then be 45, so 25 is the difference in our ages. Occasionally, I have fun with math and creep out myself a little.

Once again I must acknowledge, “Christopher’s priority seems to center on doing Ottawa University like things rather than writing the paper.” I brought my Dell to work with me in a focused effort for my Methodologies of Project Development class, but I was ultimately too busy to make any progress.
