“The JCCC Academic Excellence Challenge team won 11th place at the National Academic Quiz Tournaments Community College Championship, held Feb. 28 through March 1 in Atlanta, Ga.

Also during the competition, Kurt Partridge was named an all-star for eighth place in the individual standings.

This is the third year JCCC has sent a team to the national competition in which the team played against 23 other community colleges from across the country. Previously, the team placed 19th.

Team members who played in the competition were Partridge, Daniel Crist, Trevor Crookston, Brandon Hattesohl, Cody Hattesohl, Jared Mullis and Rhiannon Pearson.”
