I don’t know, do you 012

In looking at the last entry in this series, I realized that I forgot to celebrate the 454 on May 24, which would be thirty days passed the same date in April. I have read many more stories since Tuesday that do not necessarily make my brain hurt, but about which I am none the less unsure.
454 - Chevrolet Big-Block engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
“The big-block was expanded again for 1970 to 454.2 cubic inches (7.4 L) with a 4.251 in (108.0 mm) bore and 4 in (100 mm) stroke. The 1970 Chevy Corvette LS5 version of this engine produced 390 hp (291 kW) and 500 lb·ft (680 N·m), and the LS6 engine was rated at 450 hp (340 kW). It has been suggested...”

Although a smaller Pontiac engine was likely used in the film, a larger 455 was available for the Trans Am in Smokey and the Bandit. I should have celebrated this on Wednesday, but I was otherwise occupied.
455 - Pontiac V8 engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
“For 1970, the 428 bore was expanded .030" to 4.155 inches (105.5 mm), combined with a 4 7⁄32 (107.16mm) stroke, yielding a total displacement of 457.6 cu in (7.499 L). Oldsmobile and Buick also had '455' inch engines about the same time. For the 1970 model year variants of the engine became available...”

Of course I only know that because of a show on History. Hey, E.J. and Ellen were talking about this this morning on NewsRadio 980 KMBZ:
Proof Positive: Nearly 1 In 5 Drivers Unfit For the Road
“If you’re like me, you take great delight in complaining about other drivers. There’s a guilty pleasure waiting for those of us who snipe, snarl, and generally criticize and complain about the driving habits of others. Now, we may have empirical proof that our superior driving skills...”

I have taken an occasion or two to complain about other drivers on this blog. I have also complained about spam.

Perhaps no one likes spam, especially false job offers.

Ideal candidates have an uncommon combination of attributes. They are self-motivated, entrepreneurial individuals who are ready to leave behind the constraints of the traditional corporate job model and build a secure future of their own for themselves and their families. At the same time, they are highly coachable team players who are willing to follow a proven training and support system designed to help them achieve their goals.

We seek seasoned, independent-minded professionals who are now ready to take their career to the next level to enjoy a lifestyle that affords both flexibility and time freedom.

Lionheart Agents comprise an elite national team of highly trained corporate sales executives with the opportunity to earn a substantial short-term income while building a fully vested, long-term residual income marketing our plans as employee benefits and as valuable tools for business owners.

About Us

With offices around the country, Lionheart Assurance Solutions, LP specializes in providing employers of all sizes with cutting edge employee benefits specifically designed for identity theft restoration and access to the legal system.

Our mission is to help employers by addressing two timely needs in the marketplace; identity theft and affordable access to legal counsel. Identity theft has become the fastest growing crime in the US, with over 27,000 new victims daily. PrivacyRights.org reports that over 255 million Americans have reported their identities lost or stolen since January, 2005. The vast majority of identity theft issues end up in legal problems.

Roughly 80 percent of the public is locked out of the legal system due to cost. According to the National Resource Center for Consumers of Legal Services, "Even law abiding Americans will encounter a potential legal situation an average of four to six times per year." Employees who have problems off the job, bring those problems with them on the job. This costs the employer in lost productivity, which impacts their bottom line. The unique employee benefit plans we provide enhance worker productivity by helping employees keep their focus on their work instead of on personal problems.

For small to medium-sized clients, we also offer a full range of plans that help small businesses to "level the playing field" by providing access to the kinds of legal and consultative advice that typically only a large corporation can afford.

All additional details will be discussed during your interview.

Thank you in advance,

John H Givens PhD, Area Vice President

To waste on another ‘buy from us in order to sell to others’ scheme, I have neither the confidence in my abilities, nor the money, nor the naivete, nor the time. At least this is a scam according to this site:

Let us suppose that my adding too many items to the news feed in a short ten minutes was seen by unidentified friend as spam; this was most logically why I was unfriended again a few days ago. I don’t know, do you?

  1. It looks like this company is persistent, too. I had opted out in their emails and they still seem to come back again. They are not CareerBuilder unless they are obtainin emails from another source or retrieving them from their database.

I received this one today and atleast they want you to just to to a web meeting to hear what they have to say.
