Christopher Hurt cannot escape this song... right now... it is in his head.
Paradise City - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
“‘Paradise City’ is a song written by the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. It is included on the 1987 album Appetite for Destruction and was released as a single in 1988. It is also the only song on the album to use a synthesizer. The song peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100, the third single of the band’s to go Top 10.”
Christopher Hurt says, “Fascinating, Captain.”

A Democratic Panic Attack?
“With the disappointingly soft jobs report for July, and a faltering recovery overall, is Team Obama getting ready for some sort of new, liberal-left, Keynesian, big-bang stimulus package? Will they be desperate to ‘do something’?”
Yeah, like that will happen. Christopher Hurt is having some lucid moments today.

  1. I wanted to leave some random comments associated with Paradise City and also Guns 'n' Roses.
    1) The song "Paradise City", one of my favorite from Guns 'n' Roses, was also featured in a '90's Teen movie called CAN'T HARDLY WAIT which starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ethan Embry, and Seth Green and came out in 1998.
    2) Guns'n'Roses was supposed to be the band for Terminator 2: Judgement Day. In the end, they only got one song in and that was "You Could Be Mine." However, the scene where Arnold is carrying a gun inside a box of roses...that's paying homage to Guns'n'Roses.

  2. I figured that if you were to comment, David, then you would be most likely to comment on the song. Interesting facts there.

I have not seen Can’t Hardly Wait, but I will use that as a segue to discussing 10 Things I Hate About You, another teen film which featured “Bad Reputation”, a song which was also featured in Shrek.

  3. I'm sorry for being predictable. It was the very first thing in your blog entry and the thing most on my mind while reading the rest and I had to mention it.
