A very special Laser Rangers session!

After he created an event for “Alternate Laser Rangers: Films from before Year Zero,” our thoughtful host called on Monday to ask if I could find a film (which I will be picking up this afternoon) for Saturday and followed up with me Thursday, “Did you have any luck finding Fahrenheit 451 on DVD or Blu-Ray?”
“Mike McCain hosts a very special Laser Rangers session! Features: ‘Fahrenheit 451’ (1966) -and- Riff Trax’s ‘Star Wars Holiday Special’ (If you’ve never seen a Riff Trax video, think ’Mystery Science Theater 3000’) Food theme: Chili”

Tina, come get some ham (I am disappoint)

“When I got home at 3:50 this morning, I put the turkey in the oven for 2 hours just like the instructions said (instructions actually say to put the turkey in the oven for 2 hours at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, so I shared this thought, thinking it was funny, when I really did nothing).”
I did wake up early enough to join my father and sister at the table this morning.
While Luke, Scott, Travis and I typically meet Monday night into Tuesday to play Magic: The Gathering, Travis couldn't make it this week, so Josh was thinking of having a Dungeons & Dragons game, Wednesday night into Thanksgiving. Two minutes after he called, “I’m at Denny’s. Scott’s on his way. No word from Travis,” was what Luke texted, so Josh and Scott tested some deck mechanics instead.

Don’t Blink (You’re Gonna Miss This)

Since routine maintenance is required and 90000 miles are approaching, Bennigan and I are going to see Frozen 2, I mean, I am getting my car’s oil changed, and then seeing the movie but after laundry.
Thanksgiving is another week away, but Christmas music started on 94.9 KCMO yesterday afternoon, so country songs, while going home from work, “You’re Gonna Miss This,” and later from visiting Josh, “Don’t Blink,” made me think and reflect.

A Bridge Too Far (Botch-fest)

Yes, while feeling personally divested, I had more positive feelings after the team meeting on Thursday, yet I stayed up too late to write to my blog, and my choices continued to cause delays to perpetuate themselves. While the overpass for South 69 Highway was finished Friday, “I couldn’t have made it on time, even if I’d had an airplane.”
I’ve been taking the wrong dosage and going through a prescription faster than insurance had approved refills, so I’ve lost some time this afternoon, trying to get this all straightened out and I’m late to work. Among the four parties, my doctor’s office, the pharmacy, and the insurance, I was the only one who was confused, and I’m not happy with myself

Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill

A week ago, Bennigan turned 30, but he wasn’t feeling well, so we postponed the celebration until this Sunday and went to Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, where he had a free burger for his birthday.
Sparing us from Charlie’s Angels, Bennigan chose Terminator: Dark Fate, which was all right, “I like a movie now and then,” and this director is right to blame us, I suppose.

And that‘s the way it is (Again?)

Yeah, I’ve been using names of posts again, “Your lack of sleep is ruining your productivity,” and noted in the title. I chose to work fewer hours on Saturday, being reminded by friends and colleagues that I’m not eating right, so I got a little more sleep and started work a little later.
“Hey Chris! Tim dropped off a pack of low-carb Keto pancake mix for you,” entreated Hannah, who has taught me to cook at least two things. I’ve resumed my sandwich habit lately, “Let’s change the way we eat,” everything on wheat bread, “let’s change the way we live,” so that’s progress, right?

“Minsky’s, that sounds good,” I replied to Aaron, whom I visited to watch the noon game, “I got sucked into watching too many YouTube videos in my attempt to wake up so I’m running late, sorry.”

Winter is here again (Enjoy Every Sandwich), oh lord

Planning to work 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. I was awake much earlier today than a usual Saturday when a friend posed an interesting question:
“Which came first, the telephone or texting?
Are people who do not text lame?”
Abstractly, I think the text has existed for longer, going all the way back to cave paintings and cuneiform, but the telephone itself had to exist before text messages could be sent on said device. Specifically, the Text Message turned 19 years old about 8 years ago and if someone is lame because they don’t use text messages, then we should urge them to rise up and walk.

“Freaking hilarious! These people (No More Fake Media) blamed the media for the defeat of the Democratic Party last week, in 2010.”
Poor, Poor Pitiful Me,” should provoke a response from a friend of a decade, who will be delighted, although he was not present, I was able to make a reference to “Enjoy Every Sandwich” by Warren Zevon at work.
The Original Country Gold program, which airs on Saturday nights, has the same episode for the last three weeks, hmm.

While I could Sunday, I just couldn’t help a friend as I wanted on Saturday, “yet I look for the light through the pourin’ rain,” which Being Scott Malkinson can obumbrate - a Word of the Day from Dictionary.com
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper,

“Epstein Suicide: Feds Just Subpoenaed 20 Prison Staff Members

Show me potato salad!

“I want to talk about Laser Rangers this coming Saturday. Plans for Thanksgiving and all,” which of course causes me to squee: a Word of the Day from Dictionary.com “Is there a list of what anyone is bringing for today’s dinner? Trying to figure out what to bring. Going to stop at the store to pick something up.”
“I propose for our November Thanksgiving gathering that we show the 90-minute science fiction docudrama ‘The Great Martian War: 1913-1917.’ This is a serious re-imagining of H.G. Wells’s classic novel ‘The War of the Worlds’ as if it happened instead of World War I. This was originally aired by the History Channel only a few times in 2013, at the beginning of the WWI Centennial observance. *It’s not available on DVD or Blu-ray.* However, it can be ordered and downloaded from iTunes. It is also available for watching at the Internet Archive:

Don’t watch it there if we’re going to adopt this as our upcoming Thanksgiving program. With it only being 90 minutes long, this will give us enough time to not only select next year’s program but to have our traditional Thanksgiving dinner.”
“What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)”
