Astronomy department presents Evening with the Stars April 20

“The JCCC Astronomy Department presents Evening with the Stars at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in GEB 233.

Photographer and amateur astronomer Tom Martinez will share his images, techniques and love for astrophotography.

Following the talk, weather permitting, Doug Patterson and Bill Koch, both JCCC professors of science, will host an observation of the night sky at the Paul Tebbe Observatory atop CLB. Visible objects include the moon, Jupiter, the Orion Nebula and the Beehive Cluster.

This event is free and open to the public.

For Wednesday, tomorrow and Thursday are the same day, yet I had spent part of the day with the idea that today was Thursday. Somewhere in the archives of Egocentric Universe, I have another post when I had confusion about the day or date, as the above author demonstrates.
