Misty Mountain IHOP

While I suppose they have shapes of discs in common, I really don’t get why IHOP would crosspromote with Independence Day, or Red Robin with Hercules.

Keeping up the Habit 045

“Fine, I’m guilty,” and I took a late look at the Nostalgia Critic and his review of Mad Max Fury Road, a Word of the Day at Dictionary.com - supererogatory: going beyond the requirements of duty.

Postscript to Experiment 643

Before my friend David and I met at Perkins,
we attended Toastmasters in Bonner Springs.
Ronnie, who previously appeared in an article from the former Bonner Springs Chieftain, introduced the concept of a Big Hairy Audacious Goal, for which there is an acronym. I’m thinking that I might make some in the future.

any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,

complete my joy by being of the same mind,
having the same love, being
in full accord and of one mind.

Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, (Philippians 2:1-4)
but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

Keeping up the Havoc

Many friends embody this Word of the Day at Dictionary.com - nonpareil: a person or thing having no equal.
Via Facebook Messenger, “I stopped watching after Twilight Sparkle became an alicorn,” and my friend also shared some excellent dubstep music. He created a page for Princess Cadance & Shining Armor (My Little Pony Friendship is Magic), lives close to wildfires, and streams gameplay from his PlayStation 4 on twitch.tv

I can see the Light through the Leaves

I’m sorry, Jonathan Weir KMBZ, I have been tuning out because of the Orlando incident, yet pleased to hear your Word of the Day at Dictionary.com - cater-cousin: an intimate friend W.T. Sterrett return on air to play Cards Against Humanity.
Also, happy birthday to my friend David Rushing, who I met at the Roving Imp in late 2008, and I’m taking his place today around the corner at the Cafe 80s.

On route, I yesterday learned that X 105.1 - - Kansas City’s Alternative has replaced Jack FM at that number, and Jack FM has become 102.5 JACK FM, which has replaced 95.7 The Vibe in my presets.

Ballroom Blitz Two, Electric Boogaloo

To watch the Royals and they played the Cleveland Indians tonight around 9 p.m. Central Daylight Time was very important, because the game turned into a Ballroom Blitz.
I’m a giver, and agreed to work Saturday night, so a coworker could work during the day to a observe Father’s day with his family.

I am going to be working in place of my friend David,
so he can be off work on his birthday.

A wedding is held in June to be an auspicious Word of the Day at Dictionary.com - paranymph: a groomsman or a bridesmaid.
I missed Toastmasters in Bonner Springs last month because I was working, I also missed the Greek Festival this weekend, when my friend Jack wed in a different state.

Being late messes over your co-workers. I’m sure going to learn to be on time Sunday because I am giving another co-worker a chance to arrive later. Goodnight I have the app watch some more ‘My Hero Academia,’ and ‘Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto,’ which is totally new to me.

Web wanderings 043

A second episode from ‘Top Gear’ is better,
but heralds end of the Sunday that wasn’t …
“RT @CityFlyer502 @HuffingtonPost:
Coffee needed for Monday mornings
I was deliverying pizza and saw a ’76 Lincoln, and 94.9 KCMO had a class reunion of 1976, where were they playing hit songs from then. I was thinking: my goodness that was 40 years ago, and the class of ’76 are certainly old now, yet I realized that is only 20 years older than I, and my father 25 years older than I.

@Jeremy_Danner: Seriously piss off and unfollow me if you think that taking the appropriate steps to save a 4 year old is wrong.”
