Winter finally arrived on Monday with evening snow showers, most of which has either been cleared from the roads or has begun to melt away.

Many hours were spent Thursday to prepare my friend for her three weeks in Iowa; with a slight delay from Chicago, her train was early this morning.

My sister graciously bought 3 pizzas from Pizza Hut. My family is today watching the Tournament of Roses Parade, an annual tradition in Pasadena, California ahead of the collegiate Rose Bowl. The Hallmark Channel shows the parade in its entirety without commercial interruption, which a DVR helped as my father likes to frequently pause the viewing.
