Welcome to the Official site for Talk Like A Pirate Day — September 19
“Ever since Dave Barry mentioned us in his nationally syndicated newspaper column in 2002, what once was a goofy idea celebrated by a handful of friends has turned into an international phenomenon that shows no sign of letting up. Maybe you read about us on line. Maybe you caught one of our radio or...”
JENN AND THE TALL GUY, Weekday Mornings 5-9 on 105.1 JACK FM,

“7 Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends.

Air conditioning is out, but college is open.
“Repair efforts have started on the chilled water line that broke this morning on campus, affecting air conditioning in these 10 buildings:
  • Arts and Technology Building (ATB)
  • Billington Library (LIB)
  • Classroom Laboratory Building (CLB)
  • Commons (COM)
  • General Education Building (GEB)
  • Gymnasium (GYM)
  • Industrial Training Center (ITC)
  • Office and Classroom Building (OCB)
  • Science (SCI)
  • Student Center (SC)
The college will remain open this afternoon and evening. However, faculty may assess the situation in their classrooms and, at their discretion, choose to cancel their own classes or hold the class in a different location. Faculty should make every effort to notify their students if they choose to cancel or move their classes. Faculty who choose to cancel their classes should notify their division offices so the appropriate blue card may be posted.

Offices should remain open as usual. Other scheduled events will take place as planned, including Friends with Taste.”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KU PROFESSOR REMARKS
“(Bonner Springs, KS) - It has come to our attention via an article in the Campus Reform that KU Journalism Professor David Guth turned to Twitter on Monday to suggest he would like to see the murder of children of National Rifle Association (NRA) members at the hands of a deranged gunman.”
