“The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art at JCCC will continue its Third Thursday · Visiting Artist Presentation program from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in Hudson Auditorium with guest artist Roger Shimomura and JCCC faculty moderator Timothy Hoare, professor of humanities.
The program is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required.

These free programs typically feature two artists working within the Kansas City region, with each artist giving a 20-minute presentation followed by discussion. Each artist is paired with a JCCC faculty moderator to facilitate conversation and audience. Third Thursday programs are designed to promote student interface with professional artists working within our community and beyond.

Third Thursday programs are supported in part by an Ovation Grant from the ArtsKC Fund of the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City.”

“Car problems? The JCCC automotive department is looking for cars for students to practice on.

If your car needs starter, charging system or heating and air conditioning work, if the engine runs poorly or if you have a check engine light on, these are systems students are working on this semester.

If you are student, staff or faculty and your car can be used for student instruction, email your request to J.C. James, assistant professor, automotive technology. Emails only please.”
