Hippies are hobos who aspire to be hooligans

Among of my friends, I hold an unpopular political view, so I tend to not discuss politics:
  1. Politics is not considered polite conversation.

  2. I do not know enough about the issues to discuss them calmly or avoid ad hominem.

  3. I am on the opposite side of the debate on most issues.

  4. I do not like being wrong or being made a fool.

  5. I would rather keep friends and be respectful.

This is partially why I have a blog, so that I may freely express my opinions. My Chevy Cavalier has the many bumpers stickers, which were cause enough someone to leave behind a note. The following is one of those stickers:

On war in Iraq and Afghanistan, my friends in the Libertarian Party rightly consider liberal democrats to be hypocrites:
Where Did The Antiwar Movement Go?
“The antiwar movement has been strangely silent despite the fact that U.S. foreign policy hasn’t really changed that much since Barack Obama became President.”
Kitto I must write a disclaimer about the strong language that will soon appear in this post. I must tolerate, “An open letter to conservatives”, but who gave this guy his misnomer of Conservatism?

Prison Planet.com » Wall Street Puppet Obama Sympathizes With Anti-Wall Street Protests
“During a press conference this morning, the president said he sympathized with Occupy Wall Street protesters – words that are already ringing entirely hollow for those engaged with the movement, given that Obama’s top campaign contributors include four of Wall Streets biggest investment banks.”

One Big Ass Mistake, America.

Occupy Wall Street Protesters Call For Totalitarian Government, Re-Election Of Obama
“Despite their honest intentions, many of the Occupy Wall Street protesters are being suckered into a trap and calling for the very “solutions” that are part of the financial elite’s agenda to torpedo the American middle class – higher taxes and more big government.”

'Occupy Wall Street' Organizer Is Marketing Analyst Whose LinkedIn Lists Work For Investment Bankers
“Trust him--he might be young, but he's a ‘professional sociologist.’ So did Harrison Schultz, an organizer of the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protests, describe himself to Al Sharpton on MSNBC this evening.
