We apologize 001

Although I will not be featuring the TV network of the same name, welcome to versus edition of the “We apologize” series.
Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial - 1969
“Hear about it straight from The Colonel himself. (And no, that’s not him singing the jingle) NOTE: This is a classic TV commercial, and not a forum for debate of PETA/‘animal rights’/politics.”
In the following image, such awkward and ironic phrasing is not from The Onion.

Twitter / rstevens: “I could be wrong, but I feel like necrophilia jokes have been done to death.”
Nostalgia Chick: Kirk vs. Picard - Nostalgia Chick - blip.tv
Lindsay and Nella engage in the ultimate nerd debate since time in memoriam to finally come to a conclusion; who was the greatest captain of the Enterprise?”
Twitter / Martin G.: “Upon reading ‘Paris Hilton gets an LFA’ I asked myself ‘What kind of sexually-transmitted disease is an LFA?’”
Drag Race: 2012 Lexus LFA vs 2010 Nissan GT-R
“We pit Lexus’ first-ever supercar – the $400,000 Lexus LFA – against our long-term Nissan GT-R to find out which one is the king of the JDMs. Read the full story here. Shot by: Jim Gleason”
Motor Trend brought the preceding to you, but Autoblog also has interesting posts:
Video: Drift battle pits Mazda RX7 against Kawasaki ZX10
“The bike vs car debate extends into the drifting arena. Regardless of where you stand, ‘If you love fast cars and motorcycles then you’ll LOVE this VIDEO’.”
Originally through Jason Pollock on the Twitter, I had seen the previous video, but also when I discovered the following drifting on Autoblog:
Video: R/C car drifting in a land of giants
“R/C drift car slides past fans of all sizes – Click above to watch video after the jump It’s only February but we already have something...”
Huh, going miniature may be unnecessary if one is ‘running out of space to drift.’
Drifting, Lithuanian Garage Style
“Running out of space to drift? Do as the Lithuanians do and just drift in your garage. Just make sure Krisčius moves anything that might be flammable.”
While we are in an Eastern European mood, let us take a brief pause.
ATC - All Around The World (la la la la la la la la)
“‘Around the World (La La La La La)’ is a song most popularly sung by the music group ATC, later called A Touch of Class. It was adapted from a song called ‘Pesenka’ by the group ‘Ruki Vverkh’, which was one of the most popular Russian pop bands in the late 1990s. This band was active from 1997 to ...”
One of my mix CDs mostly consists of Initial D: Best Song Collection 1998 - 2004. The anime series Initial D is about drifting and the world of illegal street-racing in Japan. The manufacturer of the panda Trueno from Initial D, Toyota finally took a page from Fujiwara Bunta, the father of the protagonist.
Toyota’s glass of water app aims to help drivers reduce emissions - Springwise
“Much the way Ford’s in-car driving coach aims to help drivers maximize their fuel efficiency, so a new iPhone app from Toyota Sweden hopes to help them reduce their emissions.”
The other tracks on my CD also proceeded in the order that they were aired in the Lucky Star, and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya series.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou Concert - Hare Hare Yukai
“Hirano Aya (Suzumiya Haruhi), Chihara Minori (Nagato Yuki), and Goto Yuko (Asahina Mikuru) perform and dance to the song during the Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou Concert that took place on Sunday, March 18, 2007 in the Great Hall of Omiya Sonic City ...”
The owner of a blog with more substance, Denton and I once enjoyed the episode “Live Alive.”
2011 Subaru WRX STI vs. 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Special Edition Comparison - Motor Trend
“‘WOW!’ says photo intern Mike Shaffer. Our young photographer just unbelted from a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI after a spirited run on some of Southern California’s most curvaceous paths. Read the comparison between the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI and 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Special ...”
Neither Denton nor I watched either ‘The Big Game’ or the following therefrom:
Miss Evelyn | Chevy Camaro | Chevrolet
“These guys have the idea for the perfect Chevy Camaro commercial. For more information visit http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro-family
Strangely, this post just linked to a story about a native car in the United States domestic market.
OMC - How Bizarre
“Music video by OMC performing How Bizarre. (C) 1996 Universal Music NZ Ltd.”
I will soon be detailing the tracks on my current mix CD.
