Memories in the Mist

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all,
both now and forever… amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14 KJV)”

I don’t smoke, drink or chew, or run with those who do,”
seriously, someone had to explain “skunk-weed” to me.

Sing ‘Blue Monday’ for Me

Rearranging furniture, I have been watching copious amounts of YouTube, “Wet Dream - Kip Addotta,” of Dr. Demento fame, “Blue Monday (2016 Remaster),” recognizable from Wonder Woman 1984 and Top Gear, and “Spring Anime 2020 in a Nutshell
“To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. (Proverbs 21:3)”

I’m placing a chest of drawers underneath my secondary monitor, a move that blocked an electrical outlet, so I connected the power cable from the power strip to another electrical outlet underneath the desk, which was a fun spectacle, pop pop! :-)

Happy 40th birthday, f***** (Thanks, bro)

With a Little Help from My Friends,” one of my friends,
Travis turned 40 Friday, and he was happy to hear from me (Thanks, bro)
Difficulties with systems persisted so I can say in retrospect that I made the right choice to leave work early on Thursday and I was emotionally moved by episodes of Violet Evergarden.
“For to set the mind on the flesh is death, (Romans 8:6-8)
but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God,
for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”

A sad side salad (I am disappoint)

Going outside, to get the mail and see if the moon was visible, my father was startled when I said something else to him after I had said hello. “Why are you home?!”
While I went to lunch, “A system went down, so I couldn’t work,” which was mostly true. Being Scott Malkinson, cholesterol has happened to me like Edward Furlong, the effervescent tablets for my allergies wear off and my thinking gets clouded and I get darkly moody, so I got impatient waiting for a Word of the Day on Dictionary.com, force majeure, to be resolved. I appreciate restaurant workers, when I changed my side item at the window, they had a single remaining side salad, which was only lettuce and cheese.

Our neighbor had some sewer work done, and three sections of the sidewalk were replaced today so I didn’t bring up the trashcans until after I got home, but I met Adam, a neighbor who was walking his dog and works as an editing technician at Channel 5.

(serious matter to discuss; this is your opinion?)

“All are innocent until proven guilty, in a court of law!”
“In a time when political divisiveness seems to be at an all-time high, I suppose it is somewhat encouraging that Democrats and Republicans have united and both decided to nominate (alledged) rapists for President.”

“An update on Bernie Sanders, I’ve just learned through the Bernie Victory Captains chat:

Bernie HAS NOT dropped out. He has suspended his campaign to focus on the pandemic instead of ads, fundraising, and rallies. This means he will still be on the primary ballot!

Bernie still plans to get as many delegates as he can, and is hoping for a contested convention.

Bernie Sanders has suspended his campaign, but the struggles continue, and we are asking you to vote for Bernie by mail.”

Oh, geez, Rick (don’t Think I Don’t Think about It)

“Covid19 is a serious threat. If you don’t know that by now, then you never will. Fear is not what we need. Fear can be useful when an immediate response to danger is needed. In the long term, fear can be debilitating and counterproductive. Fear can cause people to irrational things. What is needed is cautious, rational behavior.”
